Baby Ribbons is a baby pony from the magical world of Ponyland. She's a unicorn, giving her some unique powers, however being a baby and untrained these powers don't always go right. Like her mother, she can appear in dreams with enough energy, and can also manipulate things with her horn in place of having hands (As in tying a bow, opening doors, typing on a computer). She can also wink out (teleport), but is proven to be VERY bad at this! Most of the time, she will only partially disappear (half visible) if she winks out at all. The one time she managed to wink out all on her own for the first time, she teleports herself to an evil kingdom called Tambelon where she can't escape and is held captive by the evil Blue Goat, Grogar. Baby Ribbons is smaller than adult ponies and still rather young and naive. She's not a true baby as in an infant, but a young pony, and still talks in rather over-cutesy speech. She's very playful and somewhat cowardly, and hates not being able to find a place to hide during hide in seek (making her panic and wink out rather than get caught!). Baby Ribbons was born and raised in the Paradise Estate, which was gifted to the ponies after the Witches from the Volcano of Gloom tried to destroy Ponyland with their evil smooze. In attacking Dream Valley, they managed to overtake the Pony's original home, a large pink castle known as Dream Castle. Homeless, the little ponies and their human friend Megan went to the Moochik for help and were given Paradise Estate as their new abode. When the Witches were defeated by the Rainbow of light and the help of the Flutter Ponies, the thankful ponies gave Dream Castle to their new friends, the Grundles and kept Paradise Estate, which is on a hilltop overlooking the Valley. Baby Ribbons lives with all of the other baby ponies and their parents, though as one of the younglings, spends much of her time when away from her mother in the Baby Nursery, set close to the Baby Bonnet school of dance. One day when playing hide and seek with Paradise, Danny, Molly, Shady, Mama Ribbon, and others she accidentally winked into the kingdom of Tambelon, an ancient, evil kingdom slowly transcending their dimension and coming into the dimension of Ponyland. Caught in that between-state, it was easy for Unicorns to get stuck in that limbo state, and were unable to get out. However, with the help of disgruntled guards, they managed to find an ancient, magical bell and used it to destroy the spell Grogar had used to ascend to their plane of existence. The ponies were freed and Tambelon was banished for another 5,000 years. |
